Legal
We keep cookies to a strict minimum. No advertising. No cross-site tracking. No third-party data brokers. Here is exactly what this site sets and why.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit. They allow the site to remember information about your visit — such as your preferences or session state — so that functionality works correctly and your experience is consistent across page loads.
Cookies can be first-party (set by the site you are visiting) or third-party (set by other services embedded in or connected to the site). They can be session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (stored for a defined period after your session ends).
This site uses a minimal cookie footprint. We categorise the cookies we use as follows:
We do not use: advertising cookies, analytics cookies tied to individual user identifiers, retargeting pixels, or any cookies set by social media platforms.
The following table lists all cookies set by the Aegis DPO website. This list is kept current and reviewed whenever site functionality changes.
| Cookie name | Category | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|
| aegis_nav_state | Essential | Stores the open/closed state of the mobile navigation menu to prevent flicker on page load and across navigation events. | Session |
| aegis_form_ref | Functional | Records the page referral source for early access and contact form submissions. Used internally to understand which pages drive applications. No personally identifiable data is stored in this cookie. | 30 minutes |
| aegis_demo_unlocked | Functional | Set when a user completes the gated demo form to prevent the gate from reappearing during the same session. No personal data is stored in the cookie itself. | Session |
If we introduce any new cookies — for example, if we add an analytics service in future — this table will be updated before those cookies are placed, and this policy's "Last updated" date will be revised accordingly.
We want to be explicit about what is absent from this site, not just what is present. The following are not used on the Aegis DPO website:
This reflects a deliberate product decision. As a privacy compliance platform, we hold ourselves to the same standard we advocate for our clients. Collecting more data than we need — including through third-party trackers — would be inconsistent with that position.
Although we do not use third-party tracking services, two third-party services are embedded in or connected to this site that may result in limited data being transmitted to external servers:
Neither Google Fonts nor Formspree set advertising or tracking cookies on this site, and neither is used for any marketing or analytics purpose.
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent some site features from functioning correctly — in particular, mobile navigation and form submission behaviour may be affected.
Browser-specific cookie management instructions:
For mobile devices, cookie settings are typically found within your browser app's settings menu under "Privacy" or "Site data".
Note on Google Fonts: If you wish to prevent IP address transmission to Google's font CDN, you can use a browser extension that blocks external font loading, or disable web fonts in your browser settings. The site will fall back to system fonts and remain fully readable.
If we introduce new cookies, begin using a new third-party service, or otherwise change our cookie practices in any material way, we will update this Cookie Policy before those changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly.
We will not introduce advertising or analytics cookies without clear notice and, where required under applicable law, an opportunity to consent before those cookies are placed.
